Ever since the last update I installed (I'm now on version 1710, build 8625.2127) I get garbage in some documents whenever I show the non-printing characters: Strangely enough: this doesn't happen with all documents, but I really cannot figure out what causes this to happen whenever I hide the non-printing characters and then show them again, I get garbage again, but it looks different each time. I have no idea about the cause. All I know is that it happens since the last update. I have the problem both on my desktop and laptop (both on Windows 10, Fall Creators Update installed). As far as I can see, the problem isn't related to specific fonts. It only seems to happen in documents with the heading as on the screenshot. (I didn't make the heading, the school wants us to use it, so I have no choice there.) I don't get any error messages.
